This is a no-brainer, but one that many writers get horribly wrong. Before I write anything, I always try to ‘see-through’ my reader’s eyes. Who are they? What are they after? What keeps them up at night?
The goal here is to understand your readers. There is such a variety of content on the Internet, that there will be NOTHING stopping your readers clicking the ‘back’ button unless they are engaged. In order to engage them best, you have to be prepared to walk a mile in their shoes. Read more »
